Bodhi Jasmine Falls & Ylang Ylang bath & shower therapy

December is the month of trying and ... liking !
Here are some body cleansing products from Bodhi that I have enjoyed very much.

Product description: Bodhi Jasmine Falls & Ylang Ylang Incensa Bath & Shower Therapy
Certified: no
For: all skin types
Presentation: travel size flacon
Texture: gel
Price: sample (50ml)
My opinion

Daily cleansing can sometimes be quite a repetitive and blend experience if you do not use the right products. Jasmine Falls and Ylang Ylang Incensa shower gels really proved me wrong: what an aromatic and divine experience I had!

Bodhi uses a unique blend of very gentle (SLS-free) surfactants (that help to remove dirt and impurities), plant oils (nourish the skin) and essential oils and flowers absolutes to create the most scentful shower gels. They are free from harsh chemicals or synthetic fragrances, so only goodness goes onto your skin!
I used Ylang Ylang Insenca shower gel in the morning, which is perfect to stimulate all senses. The fragrance is absolutely to my taste. Patchouli is the base note and is not very volatile (so the scent lasts) and is topped up by some floral middle tones (essential part for the fragrance!) such as Ylang Ylang, Neroli, Pink Peppercon that gives that sharp yet light kick. The presence of natural plant oils such as Kukui nut seed oil helps the skin to regenerate. Your skin is left delicioulsy perfumed AND well hydrated at the same time.
Jasmine Falls shower gel is perfect as a pure relaxation shower experience in the evening. The aromatic blend of Jasmine absolute and Lavender, known for their calming and soothing properties, envelopped the body in a very delicate smell, wonderful floral sensation. It is ideal at the end of a busy day! Red Mandarin peel oil adds a zingy touch to the shower gel whereas Vetyver essential oil gives that sweet and woody note.

I really like the packaging. It is simple and stylish. It really stands out.

Both shower gels retail at £23 for 250ml. This is not cheap, but I can assure you that you and your body will really benefit from this truly delicious shower/bath moment. Luxury treat by excellence!

Discover and/or re-discover the products at www.bodhi.uk.com

...a true indulgence!

Overall rating: 8.5/10

I was kindly sent Jasmine Falls and Ylang Ylang Incensa shower gel samples by Bodhi. However, this is by no means influenced my review.

Prepare your hair for the festive season

We are approaching the Sparkling Christmas season very fast! With all the family and friends parties booked ahead, we want to look beautiful and be the glowing star of the day.

Hair is the symbol of glamour, seduction and feminity. However, it can become quite tired and bad looking after all year round being overwashed, brushed, or moulded in gels or waxes. They do not look as great as we would wish!

So what can you do to give that kick back to your hair and restore a healthy growth and shine?

With little time remaining for the parties, but also for the longer term, here are some tips about:

...what you can do to boost your hair appearance now

1- Pamper your hair with a luxurious natural argan hair oil. Leave it for 1h or overnight, if you can, and then shampoo. Extra-nourishing treat guaranteed!

2- Hair also loves a cocooning treat such as a natural deep conditionner or mask after shampoo. Rinse-out one are best and leave hair soft, shiny and easily manageable.

3- Lemon juice gives that skiny glossy look to hair. Add in the last rinse after shampoo.

...what can do to make your hear look great for the longer term

1- Know your hair type and make sure to choose the right shampoo, i.e. extra-gentle, caring and free of harsh surfactants. Bare in mind that foam and fragrance does not indicate whether a shampoo is good.
2- Massaging your hair scalp increases blood circulation and help hair oxygenation.
3-
R e l a x ... and ... R e l a x. Stress is number one enemy of hair growth.
4- Avoid overheating/brushing hair as this increases hair breakage and damages your hair.
5- Drink lots of water and herbal infusions to keep hydration body levels up and improve your hair softness and lushness.

6- Enhance your hair health by eating well and getting the right nutrients (Vitamin A, E , F, biotin, iron, silica). Eggs, fish, nuts, soya, apricots, leek, spinach contain plenty!
7- Olive & castor oil repair and soothe dry ends. Banana & avocado mask is wonderfully nutritif too.

...and your hair will be looking fantastic!

Evolve Beauty multi peptide single cream

Product description: Multi peptide single cream
Certified: yes (Ecocert)
For: normal to oily skin
Presentation: flacon
Texture: emulsion
Price: £19.90 for 50 ml

My opinion

Finding a enjoyable and suitable face moisturiser can be quite a difficult task. It not only needs to have a nice texture, smell and... price, it also has to repond to the needs of your skin. This multi peptide single cream (previously named multi action single cream) from Evolve Beauty is indeed very close to fulfilling those difficult tasks. Enriched with natural plant oils, peptides, and hyaluronic acid, this excellent light cream brings the right nutrients to the skin.

If you have a combination/oily to normal skin type, this delicate cream will do wonders. Not only is it really nice to apply on the skin, it also leaves the skin smooth and hydrated. It gets absorbed quickly enough to get a glowing-looking face, which is unified and soft. I have been using this emulsion every morning for the last 3 months and I am really (and still) in love with it. Light enough to be used in summer/sunny weather, and protective enough when outside temperature dropped. Really love the softness feel on the skin.

I really like the well designed and neat pinkish flacon. I find it simple, great looking and it is really easy to use.
Also a thumb up for the 100% recycled plastic!

The only comment I have is about the smell. It is quite neutral, as I cannot pick up what the main fragrance is all about. Perhaps a slighlty more refreshing natural fragrance would have been more appealing to me. However, if you are sensitive to certain fragances or prefer neutral scents, this is a perfect choice.

This face cream may be a little expensive. It is around £20. I still think it is reasonable value for money, because it lasts long. Only one dose pump exactly measures the amount you need for one application.

To sum up, this light cream is lovely: excellent texture, great ingredients and is very effective.

If you want to try this cream, Evolve Beauty offers samples. Enjoy browsing and shopping at www.evolvebeauty.co.uk.

My everyday pleasure.....!

Overall rating: 9/10

Composition: aqua, aloe barbadensis leaf juice*, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, parfum (natural fragance), coco-caprylate/caprate, cetearyl alcohol, cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, prunus armeniaca (apricot) kernel oil*, sesamum indicum (sesame) seed oil*, argania spinosa (argan) kernel oil*, butyrospermum parkii (shea butter)*, glycerin, candelilla/jojoba/rice bran polyglyceryl-3 esters, glyceryl stearate, mannitol, dipalmitoyl hydroxyproline, cetearyl glucoside, prunus amygdalus dulcis (sweet almond) protein, sodium stearoyl lactylate, sodium hyaluronate, tocopherol, xanthan gum, dehydroacetic acid, lactic acid. *ingredients from organic farming

Aqua: base ingredient of the emulsion.

Aloe vera leaf juice: rich in vitamins, minerals and polysaccharides. Highly hydrating supernatural ingredient and a fantastic healer too. The skin becomes softer and calmed as any irritated patches are cleared away.

Sunflower oil: beauty oil by excellence, rich in vitamin E and oleic acids, ideal to regenerate and soothe the skin. Easily absorbed too.

Natural fragance: not really sure about the smell, probably accepted by Ecocert certification guidelines.

Coco-caprylate/caprate: esterified oil that serves as an emollient and helps to improve the texture of the product. Not entirely natural, but "not toxic".

The composition is then enriched by a nice organic blend of natural oils (apricot, sesame, argan) and shea butter that boost the natural repairing process of the skin.

Glycerin: acts as an effective moisturiser for the skin. Cannot really tell whether its origin is vegetal or animal.

Sweet almond proteins, dipalmitoyl hydroxiproline (a liposoluble aminoacid) and sodium hyaluronate reinforce the moisturising, anti-ageing, and firming properties of the cream.
