My Cleansing evening routine 100% Organics

As you already all know, facial cleansing is really "the" esssential step in the skincare routine.

100% Organics kindly sent me the facial cleanser and toner to try. 100% Organics is an Soil Association certified skincare company from Cornwall. If you want to know a little bit more about them, enjoy their very detailed and informative website: www.100percentorganics.com

Product description: Cleanser
Certified: yes (Soil Association)
For: all skin types
Presentation: pot
Texture: balm
Price: 29£ for 100ml

My opinion

Looking for a pure, rich, nutrious yet incredible fine texture cleansing melt? Do not look any further.
100% Organic handmade cleanser is the organic "pearl" that will help you removing make-up, dirt, impurities that have accumulated all day. Only composed of the finest organic plant oils, this balm is also gently aromatised with lavender and geranium, great to promote a sense of "bien-ĂȘtre".

The texture is divine and I absotulately love it. Such a pleasure to delicately massaging it into the skin and smell the wonderful aromatic scents! I used this balm every night for a perfect cleansing and pampering experience. Once applied, I use warm water on a cotton whool to rinse it off followed by a toner application (see below). Perhaps my only downside can be explained by my personal preference: I like easy water rinse-off facial products and with a oil-based product, this could be a little more tricky to achieve.

The wonderful properties of this balm are due to the association of nourishing and soothing oils such as jojoba, coconut, olive with some highly healing oils such as tamanu or rosehip oil. Antibacterial tea tree, lavender, geranuim, which hazel bring their antispectic notes to the balm while plantain and calendula extract in addition to chamomille flower oil are exceptionnal in soothing and calming.

Also love the funkiness of the pot and the powerful and lively color blue!

...a perfect combination of cleansing and well being!

My overall rating: 8.5/10

Composition: Cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, olea europea (olive) fruit oil, sesamum indicum (sesame) seed oil, cera alba (beeswax), simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil, calophyllum inophyllum (tamanu) seed oil, corylus avellana (hazelnut) nut oil, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) flower oil, plantago major (plantain) leaf extract, calendula officinalis (marigold) flower extract, hamamelis virginiana (witch hazel) leaf extract, rosa canina (rosehip) fruit extract, pelargonium graveolens (geranuim) flower oil, oenothera biennis (evening primrose) seed oil, anthemis nobilis (roman chamomile) flower oil, melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) leaf oil.

Certified: Not as such
For: all skin types
Presentation: flacon
Price: 19£ for 100ml

My opinion

The toner is made up of delicate organic floral waters known for their calming, soothing and astringent properties.

After cleansing my face thoroughly with the cleanser, I applied the toner with a soft coton pad and delicately massaged my face. The smell of this toner is amazing and waves of citrus/orangy notes still delicately float all over even when you have actually stopped using it. Skin was left very fresh, calmed and hydrated.

This toner is alcohol free, so really non irritant for even the most sensitive skin. I absolutely fall in love with this product because it is so easy to use and just does so much goodness for the skin. The slighty astringent and tonic property of witch hazel and orange flower water is gently balanced with the calming and moisturising effect of chamomille flower distillate.

I really found it diffcult to flaw this toner, only praises for this superb product :-)!

Such a pity the bottle has only 100 ml contenance :-) ...

...such a plus for your skin!

My overall rating: 9/10

Product composition: Anthemis nobilis (roman chamomille) floral water, citrus aurantium (orange) flower water, hammamelis virginiana (witch hazel) floral water, citrus paradis (grapefruit) seed extract.

  1. I've had my eye on this brand since they launched, your review makes them sounds wonderful but sadly the prices are just beyond my reach. I am sure this is justified by wonderful ingredients but...*sigh*

  2. Thank you for your comments. Yes, the quality is really exceptionnal! bare in mind that the cleanser is oil based so it really does last for a long long time. At the end, it may not ending costing too much. The toner may be more expensive :-), but really loved it ( I am done with it :-)!).

  5. What is a cleansing melt? I've only heard that phrase from people in the UK. It looks like the ingredients of a moisturizer, but is used for washing your face?

    1. Hello Mary, thank you for your comment. This cleansing balm really sort of melts when you apply it on the face. Oil based cleansers are a must when it comes to cleanse the face. Why? become oil attract oil. So all the impurities or excess of sebum are washed away but in a very respectful way for the skin. I may write a post soon and explain the benefits of beauty product texture (oil, emulsion, balm, cream) and their specificity for the skin (all a matter of chemistry :-))
Hope that helps :-) ! have a nice day.
