Beauty fruit: melon

The summer season is very enjoyable for me. Nature is at its full bloom, holidays are finally here and it is somehow (the best) time to relax a bit....pure bliss! Summer is also for me synonymous to gorgeous and juicy fruits, delicious smoothies, and refreshing homemade ice-creams.
For those who have ever spent holidays in mediterranean countries, you may have strolled through those fantastic local markets offering their best fruits and veggies on a Saturday morning. Stunning and mouth watering, isn't? loving it!

So today, I want to write about one of my favourite fruit: melon.

Containing almost 90% of water, melon is highly refreshing and low calorie. Melon is a superstar in terms of vitamins (A, B, C, Beta carotene), oligo-elements (potassium and magnesium), and anti-oxidants content.
The orange pulp is also rich in fibers which play an important role in body elimination functions.

I have already mentionned that excellent diet and great skincare routine are key to a glowing skin. Including melon as healthy snacks (while relaxing on the beach or on a terrasse :-)) in your regime is a wonderful way to keep your body hydrated and skin plumped.

Wanting to give a instant youthful glow to your skin? try this extra simple DIY recipe: apply slices of melon onto cleansed face and leave it for 10 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water. Gently pat dry. Skin is left radiant and clear.

Do you like melon? What is your top beauty fruit? why?

My holiday beauty bag

Summer holidays are, for most people, just around the corner. I thought it might be interesting to list the beauty products that I would bring with me.
This summer I will be heading to France (yeah!) and I assume the weather will be quite hot and humid.

Here is my list of essential products (on holidays I like to keep it simple):

-Face-
Cleanser (Biobeaute Nuxe micellar cleansing foam)
Light day cream (Nafha moisturising cream)
Thermal water spray (Jonzac Thermal spring water)
Facial oil (Bodhi Desert Rose rejuvenating oil)
Scrub (Bareskin Beauty Honey and papaya resurfing balm)

-Body-
Shower gel (Bodhi Rosemary)
Moisturising body cream (Bodhi Rosemary)
Baby oil (Kruidvat "pure and natural")

-Hair-
Smoothing shampoo (Lavera Hair almond milk shampoo)

-Sunscreen-
Suncare lotion (Lovea Suncare SPF 30 certified organic)

So, these are my holiday beauty picks. Some of the products are travel size (very handy!) that were kindly offered by Bodhi and Bareskin Beauty.

During holidays, I also love to use raw ingredients (such as honey, milk, olive oil, strawberries, avocado etc...) and do a little bit of DIY and create my own last minute beauty treats such as facial mask. Recipes to be posted here soon! Individual product reviews will also be posted too after trial!

What are your holiday essentials? Any "must have"? ..and have a beautiful holiday!
