Logona daily care body lotion

Pampering the body remains equally important as face care to keep skin really hydrated, smooth and give a nice glow to any sunkissed skin (as long as your body cream is good!). Specific parts such as elbows, knees, or feet are often in needs of special attention too as they are prone to dryness. So another reason to use even more a body cream!

Over the last couple of months, I used Logona Daily care body lotion every time after showering, massaging gently the lotion into damp skin. So here is what I think.

Product description: daily care body lotion Verveine and Bio Aloe
Certified: yes (BDIH)
For: normal skins
Presentation: bottle
Price: 6€ for 200ml

My opinion
Logona daily care body lotion is a white and light (almost gelified) lotion that gently melts into the skin. While it is really easily absorbed, the blend of soothing and nutritive botanical oils and butter (soybean, jojoba, shea butter) leaves a delicate film that bring nutrients, fatty acids, and vitamins to the skin. This lotion is really suitable for dry skins too as the texture is rich enough to quench thirsty skins. The formulation contains also some soothing aloe vera extract and glycerin that highly hydrate skin.

I like the smell of the product. It doesn't have the "waoh" factor but it is ok. Discret, I can detect very well a tone of lime essential oil and some more resfreshing and herbal scents. Nice.

Synthetic preservatives are inexistant in this lotion but my scrupulous eye for details can not miss the quite high proportion of alcohol denat in the composition. Used in some "green" companies, alcohol denat still can sometimes in my opinion be a problematic ingredient for really sensitive skins depsite the presence of highly replenishing oils. I will refer you to the excellent article of Truth in Ageing for more details about Alcohol and its use in cosmetics.
The other ingredient that caught my attention is palm oil. Palm oil has fantastic soothing and regenerative properties. Nor sure though whether Logona uses sustainable palm oil in this product.

As a overal, this lotion is effective and soothing despite the presence of (too much for me) alcohol. I am quite happy about it.
