The korean green beauty products I want to TRY

Korean beauty is becoming more and more popular in Europe. High-end formulas and innovative textures seem to explain this increase in demand. I won't dig too much into the korean skincare steps today (I may do another time if you are interested), but I just want to present you the green korean beauty goodies that caught my eyes and that I am really eager to try.

Whamisa Organic Flowers Deep Rich Essence Toner (£28.25 for 120ml) // Sounds completely dreamy for the skin. With an incredible list of botanical actives - Broccoli extract and fermented Indian Lotus filtrate to name a few, this high-end concentrated toner seems to really deliver the ultimate toning experience: toning, slightly exfoliating, moisturising, and anti-inflammatory. I want this one soon.

O'Sum Jejuorga Brocolli Atoless cream  ($24.00 for 100ml) // this is considered as a SOS balm that relieves dry skin, calms irritated skin and that is deelpy moisturising. It contains an amazing amount of Broccoli extract (17.5 %), a bit of squalane, Jojoba oil. Probably perfect to be used during the cold/windy season. Having said that, it is always handy to have a rescue cream anytime!

Yuri Pibu Artichoke Power essence ($38.00 for 40ml) // A powerful lightweight serum that is designed to smooth skin out, restore skin glow, unify, hydrate, tighten. Well, it sounds like a really nice product, well formulated too since it contains ceramides, hyaluronic acid and silica. There is however a tiny thing that bothers me: it contains the skin moisturiser squalene but I am not sure whether its origin is plant-based or not.

Soyedodam Organic Ginseng hydrogel sheet mask (1 unit, $9.00) // Can't wait to experiment a bit more sheet masks. I remember buying and testing a couple when I went to Hong Kong but that's about it. The one from Soyedodam is packed with korean Red Ginseng, Aloe vera and Manuka honey plus a few veggie/fruits extracts to pump and revitalise the skin. It comes as a gel mask that you leave for 20 min onto cleansed skin. Sounds really straightforward and handy.

Aromatica Peppermint vitalising massage & body oil mild ($24.00 for 120ml) // A rather simple beauty oil only composed of a few base oils (Canola oil, Almond oil) aromatised with essential oils (PeppermintEucalyptusGinger). But its sounds so invigorating and refreshing that I am super tempted to try it!

Trilogy Age proof CoQ10 eye recovery concentrate: THE eye cream

Eye cream is the one beauty product that I most often ended up skipping in my daily beauty routine, driven by a lack of time or because I wanted to keep it simple.
However I have recently changed this 'bad' habit, and promised myself to include an eye cream treatment to my face skincare regime. Since eye areas (including mine!) are really prone to ageing, I picked at Lovelula the Trilogy CoQ10 eye recovery concentrate*, which is more targeted to mature skins.

My opinion

Whether you look for a decongestionning eye cream or one that targets the fine lines, I may have found the complete product for you: the Age proof CoQ10 eye recovery concentrate from the popular New Zealand green beauty brand Trilogy.
First, I have to say that I am lucky not to have any 'bags' under the eyes, nor suffer from dark circles. The thing that may bothering me the most now is fine lines. I don't believe in miracle products but I still hoping to find a product that may help or prevent further "damages".

The Age Proof coQ10 eye recovery concentrate is a roll on that delivers a light gold emulsion containing a few actives in an Aloe vera base:
  • Coenzyme Q10 / cellular energy booster and anti-oxidant
  • Licorice root extract /skin brigthening effect
  • Green Coffee extract  / anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and skin toning effect
  • Hyaluronic acid / moisturiser

Application // I have been using the eye concentrate very faithfully morning and evening for a good month now. The emulsion massages very well, is not greasy and leaves the skin supple and moisturised. What I also like is that you can apply make-up right away, no problem at all.
The packaging stated that this is a fragrance -free product. Indeed, there is not much smell and it is perfectly fine with me.

Results // Well, I haven't noticed any dramatic changes in terms of tonicity or texture of the skin. However, I do find than my eye areas appear more radiant, illuminated. There is a slight smoothing/tighening effect that occurs after application.  I don't have dark circles underneath the eyes so can't really tell about it but I definitely want to assess the anti-ageing potency of the serum during a longer period of use. So far, I would say that I am quite happy with the product.

Repurchase or not// The eye recovery concentrate retails at £26.50 for 7.5ml, which makes it quite a pricey beauty product. Having said that, you don't use a lot of product on the daily basis, so I guess that it is ok. It is very handy to use, tiny enough to bring when traveling and more importantly, targeting well the eye areas problems, so yes, I will repurchase it.

Get it HERE.

What do you think? what is your favorite eye cream?
