More than great: the LoveLula May beauty box

We are almost at the of the month but it is never too late to introduce you the May edition Lovelula green beauty box. I am very excited to talk about it because it is one of the best (I think!). Having said that, some of the previous editions (link here and here) were really not bad too!
Worth more than £45.00, you only pay the amazing amount of £13.95 and get all the products below.

Ogario London styling mist (full size £16.00) // I'm not usually keen in any styling products. My hair are kind of wavy/bouncy but I thought, let's give a try. And to my surprise, this mist not only smells deliciously citrussy but it is also able to give a very natural direction to the hair without being too heavy. A very interesting discovery for me!

John Masters Lavender&Rosemary shampoo (travel size £5.50) // I always find really handy to have a couple of travel size shampoos in stock especially from the US star hair brand John Masters. I have tested this one in the past and it really does a great job at cleansing and softening the hair.

John Masters Citrus&Neroli detangler (travel size  £5.50) // My hair tend to be drier in the Spring/Summer so again, this detangler comes at a perfect time. The scent is really lovely and it really helps soothing hair and improving their overal texture.

Laidbare DIY Cleanse and tone (full size  £6.99) // I am quite excited to try this cleanser. I have been really enjoying all the products I have tried so far  from this english brand. Despite loving a proper cleansing routine, I really see myself reaching for a more "complete and quicker" product  from now and then when I am a bit busy or tired.

PHB Gentle moisturiser (full size) // This fast-absorbing cream designed for sensitive skins and eczema really leaves the skin extremely soft and calmed. I am particularly fan of the super subtle sweet scent maybe due to the presence of Apricot kernel oil. The formula is simple: you can find some shea butter and Sunflower oil to soften the skin.

All in all,  a lovely selection for May!

Cleansing duo of the moment

Today, I want to share with you my latest skincare routine which involves 2 products from Organic Surge that I have picked thanks to the LoveLula Blogger Program: the brigthening hot cloth cleanser and the deep cleansing face mask.
While I have enjoyed a few body products from Organic Surge (see here and here), I have never really tested their skincare products. Time to change then!
Read below what I think!

The brightening hot cloth cleanser (€13.95 for 150ml)

When it comes to face cleansers, I am super picky. Cleansing oils or balms are less my cup of tea since I always find a bit tedious to remove properly the remaining "oil" left by the product on the face. I rather go for a creamy cleansing emulsion.
With that idea in mind, the brigthening cleanser seems to tick many boxes for me. It has a really rich texture and is indeed really nurturing due to  the many skin-soothing ingredients it contains: Shea butter, Aloe vera and other moisturising ingredients such as glycerin and Cocoa butter.
I love the pump flacon which delivers the right amount of product needed.
I use it everyday- morning and evening (double cleansing). I massage it into dry or damp skin depending on my skin needs, wait a couple of minutes and then rinse thoroughly.
I like the fact that the scent is really discret with very subtle flowery notes. But more importantly, I find the cleanser gentle, absolutely non irritant for the skin (I rather not use a muslin cloth or any other cleansing accessories at the moment). It leaves my face calmed, soft, and almost glowing. I usually followed up with the awesome Micellar water from Madara (see review here).
All and all, I am very happy with the performance and will definitely repurchase it.

Composition: water (aqua), Aloe barbadensis leaf juice*, Burtyropsermum park (Shea) butter*, glycerin, cetearyl alcohol, glyceryl stearate, dicapryl ether, Theobroma cacao (Cocoa) seed butter*, cetearyl glucoside, benzyl alcohol, Cera alba (beeswax), Pelargonium graveolens (Geranium) flower oil, sodium steroyl glutamate,  citrite acid, xanthan gum, Cymbopogon martini oil, dehydroacetic acid, sodium phytate, citrus aurantium Dulcis (Orange peel) oil expressed, Illicum verum (Anise) fruit/seed oil, Mentha arvensis leaf oil, Rosa Damascena flower oil, citral, citronellol, geraniol, limonene, linalool. *ingredients from organic farming. Naturally occurring within essential oils.

The deep cleansing face mask (£8.75 for 50ml)

The Ecocert certified-deep cleansing mask is designed to purify/clarify the skin. It is suitable for all skin types but I find that this mask may not be the best choice if your skin is really dry/hypersensitive.
The mask features classical clarifying ingredients: Kaolin, Lemon peel oil and Peppermint oil. It does not dry or leave the skin extremely tight  (yeah!) and this is because the formulation is enriched with skin soothing ingredients such as glycerin, Sweet Almond oil, and Sunflower oil.
For those who wonder about the texture, it is quite onctuous and looks like a rich cream. It is thicker that I would expect but that its fine.
I use the mask once a week in the evening. I apply a small amount only into the face areas that really need it such as nose, chin or forehead. I rinse it after 15 min but no longer and I also tend to not let it dry. The contenance is rather on the small side, but have been really surprised of how long it lasts.
As an overall, this mask delivers what I expect: a skin refreshed and cleansed yet without being stripped of its natural protection. And for that price, I can not really complain!

Composition: Aqua (water), Aloe barbadensis extract*, caprylic/capric triglycerides, isopropyl myristate, kaolin, glycerin, glyceryl stearate, polyglyceryl 3 dicitrate/stearate, cetearyl alcohol, Citrus (lemon) peel oil, Prunus amygdalus (Sweet almond) oil, tocopherol, helianthus anuus (Sunflower) seed oil*, Citrus aurantium dulcis (Orange) peel oil, Citrus aurantium bergamia (Bergamot) fruit oil, Cymbopogon Martinii (Palmarosa) oil*, Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) leaf oil, Citrus aurantifolia (Lime) peel oil, Mentha piperita (Peppermint) oil*, Anthemis nobilis*, Gingko biloba leaf extract, benzyl alcohol, dehydroacetic acid, ascorbic acid, potassium sorbate, citric acid, sodium phytate, xanthan gum, limonene, geraniol, linalool, citral. *naturaly derived ingredients. Naturally occuring within essential oils.

My conclusion: 2 lovely skincare cleansing products, gentle, effective and mid-priced!
